Staff Accountant

Pay Classification
Full Time, Salaried, Exempt


Reports to

Job Summary
The Staff Account will support the Controller and Accounting Supervisor in carrying out the responsibilities of the Accounting Department.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Posts cash transactions
  • Verifies and processes inventory receipts in GP
  • Reconciles balance sheet accounts for two companies, which includes, but is not limited to cash, prepaid, accruals, inventory and inter-company
  • Prepares month-end journal entries
  • Assists with month-end close
  • Coordinates, reviews and adjusts monthly physical inventory
  • Monitors and reviews inventory costs
  • Completes other projects and assignments as requested


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 2+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • MS Dynamics GP experience
  • Experience in cost accounting is preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented with strong time management skills
  • Strong sense of urgency to stay focused on timeliness and accuracy
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Customer Service Representative

Administrative Manager

Overall Responsibilities
Interacts with both customers and employees to provide excellent sales service. Solicits sales and receives orders from field Sales Representatives, and enters, tracks, coordinates/schedules delivery and/or will-call pick up. Processes same-day requests and provides support to the sales team with regard to inventory availability, order changes, and new account setup.

Key areas of Responsibility

  • Cover phones and greet visitors at front desk
  • Receives, enters and tracks sales orders
  • Solicits sales via telephone for house accounts
  • Assists customers with phone orders, will-call sales and donation pick-ups, statement and invoice requests
  • Supports the Sales Representatives and Sales Managers by providing inventory availability, processing order changes and setting up new accounts
  • Customer database maintenance. Includes verifying and updating liquor licenses and resale permits, shipping address changes and updating contact info
  • Assembles POS materials for customer orders
  • Answers general sales inquiries and quotes prices
  • Provides general administrative and clerical support to Sales teams, and other departments when needed
  • Reporting. Access, prepare and send reports when requested by Sales managers. Setup routine sales reports and email weekly to Sales Representatives.
  • Prepares and finalizes special deliveries and other paper invoices for field representatives
  • Order office and warehouse supplies and track inventory for two buildings


  • Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional telephone skills
  • 2 years of customer service experience, Associates degree preferred
  • Ability to resolve conflict, negotiate and persuade
  • Ability to organize, plan and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Interpersonal skills that support the development and maintenance of constructive, cooperative working relationships
  • Active listening skills that enable undivided focus to customer communication and the ability to provide a relevant, appropriate response
  • Social perception skills to accurately understand reasons for peoples’ reactions
  • Detail oriented
  • Valid CA driver’s license and safe driving record
  • General familiarity with craft beer industry preferred

Work Environment

  • Standard office environment
  • Requires extended periods of sitting
  • Light lifting up to 25 lbs. infrequently
