Will You Help us Get Ready to Brew Gourdgeous!? (UPDATED 9/11)

It’s just about time to start brewing Gourdgeous (formerly known as Hangar 24′s Pumpkin Porter) and we need your help!

Similar to our Polycot Pitting Party, we are searching for volunteers to help us clean the pumpkins that will be used to brew our fifth Local Fields Series beer, Gourdgeous

We have half a ton of pumpkins that were grown just down the street arriving to the brewery Monday morning (9/10) and we’re calling any and all volunteers who’d like to come help us prep said pumpkins for brewing.  The party starts September 10th at 11am and goes on ’till we’re done, so come by anytime and jump in!

The Local Fields Series was launched in early 2012 and is comprised of six beers, all brewed once per year with a different local ingredient.  Here at Hangar 24, we love not only brewing beer using ingredients from Southern California, but brewing beer along with our Southern California friends and residents!  So, please come by, and help us make this Local Fields beer.

Gourdgeous will be released in the Tasting Room on Saturday, October 6th and Southern California distribution begins Monday, October 8th.

A big thank you to everyone who came out yesterday (9/10) to help us get the Gourdgeous pumpkins ready for the roaster. We cleaned 1000 lbs of pumpmkins in record time and couldn’t have done it without the help of our generous fans.

The pumpkins are in the roaster today and Gourdgeous will be ready for our glasses on Saturday, October 6th. See you then!
